How To Avoid The Speeding Ticket CameraWatch out! They’ll getcha! What’s that you say? A speeding ticket camera that’s designed to snap a shot of your license plate and send you a ticket in the mail. Now, for all I know a lot of these may not really work. Heck, anyone can put up a camera anywhere but who knows if they are really doing their job. But I do know one thing is for sure, they flat out work! They slow down traffic and make people abide by the laws. People are driving slower and it seems like they are frustrated. It does not have to be this way. Just know that it’s done for your own safety. So what happens if you speed through one of these speeding ticket cameras, or camera designed do catch you speeding rather? What happens then? Well, if you’re lucky, nothing! Yeah, you heard me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve blasted through one of those undercover cameras just to find that nothing ever happened. But here’s a word of warning… that won’t be the case every time. Just because I’ve been lucky enough to dodge them does not mean you wll, so keep that in mind. Here’s an idea if you really are concerned about the cameras catching you… why not put on a camera shield on your license plate. Basically it’s like a reflector that’s designed to shine back at the camera, thus making it hard to make out what the plate says. Check with your state if they are legal because I don’t want to recommend something that will get you in trouble. In my state, there seems to be no problem. However that could always be one of those laws that are not too enforced, but any day a cop wants to issue you a ticket, they can… know what I mean? So proceed with caution. But if there is no problem, the this for sure is a great way to avoid the hassle of being caught by one of the cameras. One of the easiest ways to not get caught by one of these cameras is just avoid the route all together. Ever thought about that? Why not take a different path? It’s easier on you and you don’t have to worry if they got you. Sometimes, when they catch you, you can get the notice one or two months down the line and depending on how fast you were going, the tickets can range from $100 to $300 or more. I’d hate to get hit up with a fine or a mandatory court appearance just like that out of the blue, especially if it’s not budgeted in. So be smart, chose your routes carefully and speeding ticket cameras will be a worry no more! |
